SWG Christmas Potluck Party held on December 4, 2024
SWG's 35th Anniversary Party and Coffee House Combo Nov.22/24
The Shuswap Writers Group acknowledged a milestone anniversary celebrated at their November Coffee House. Former members coming from Vernon, Blind Bay and Salmon Arm enjoyed looking at the photo display boards and photo album that held past memories of the group.
Pastel coral was the colour theme on tablecloths and streamers while silver center pieces enhanced the many tables throughout. Folks sipped on a variety of beverages while consuming delectables and pieces of a large decorated anniversary cake.
Everyone attending was introduced, some sharing their stories as past members. A surprise thank-you presentation of a glass plaque etched with eloquent wording was made to lifetime member Dorothy Rolin for her many years of dedication to SWG.
A beautiful floral arrangement was also presented to current president Ellie McGaughey for her continued good guidance of the group.
